Vito Gamberale, F2i’s Chief Executive Officer, made the
point on networks separation in Public Works of the Senate commission.
To improve the country, He calls for a synergy between
Telecom and Metroweb because without this collaboration there could be a lack
of forces.
Talking about the possible strategy, Vito Gamberale specified that the
problem is purely technical: fiber to the home (ftth) works on highly urbanized
areas, while fiber to the cabinet (fttc) on less densely inhabited areas.
Metroweb could connect with ftth the center of the 30 most important italian towns and, possibly in collaboration with Telecom, bring the optical fiber service where it's needed.
